CNC Set-Up Technician (Lathe & Mill) – 2nd Shift and Weekend Shift Opportunities

2nd shift: Monday to Thursday, 3pm-1am with overtime on Friday

Pay Rate: $28-30/hr. (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform changeovers on CNC lathes and mills to meet production requirements.
• Work with a variety of machines, including Davenport, Acme, B2B, Haas, and Mori Seiki or similar equipment, with multi-spindle and CNC machines preferred.
• Load materials into machines, start production runs, and monitor operations to maintain consistent output.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure parts meet specifications and design requirements.
• Inspect parts for defects, verify tolerances, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine issues during production and perform minor corrections or adjustments to keep machines running efficiently.
• Change out worn or dull tools and select appropriate tooling based on materials, speeds, and feeds.
• Deburr and finish parts to remove rough edges, sharp spots, and other imperfections.
• Measure parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to confirm dimensional accuracy.
• Enter measurement and inspection data into Fanuc or similar control systems accurately and on time.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines, including cleaning, checking and adding oil and coolant, and general upkeep.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 6S standards.
• Support and participate in safety, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve production issues and improve setup processes.
• Demonstrate advanced setup and basic programming capabilities as needed to optimize machine performance.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greensboro, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
