Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in an educational, tutoring, or mentoring capacity
- Comfortable assisting students with classwork, activities, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to follow teacher instructions and classroom management strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability, patience, and an encouraging attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries
- Paraprofessional certification or equivalent credential preferred
What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one or small group academic and behavioral support to students
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom routines
- Help reinforce learning objectives and classroom rules
- Support students with varying needs, including those with disabilities or learning differences
- Document progress and assist with reporting as requested
- Supervise students during transitions and break times to ensure safety
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
