Financial Reporting AssistantAssists with the preparation of monthly and year to date financial reports and ensures their accuracy. Assists with annual audit, budget, payroll, and accounts payable. Serves as the backup to the Controller.ResponsibilitiesAssists with month end close processUtilizes financial accounting systems including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, and fixed assetsAccounts payable system administratorReviews payrollReviews daily/monthly bank reconciliationReviews policies and procedures to increase efficiency and consistencyRecommends changes to process if appropriateReconciles business insuranceAssists with annual auditAssists with annual tax returnAssists with annual budgetApproves ACH payments to cover department absencesHandles confidential information including compensationInteracts and assists related parties (UW) and UWHCD employees when necessaryCompletes external surveys as requestedOther Accounting and Finance duties as requestedExperience and EducationMinimum of 7 years recent experience in Accounting and FinanceExperience and strong knowledge base in month end close and reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payrollBachelor's degree in Accounting
