Account Executive, Molecular Diagnostics

Abbott seeks a Molecular Account Executive for field sales in Northern California, covering hospitals, integrated delivery networks, reference labs, and women's health facilities. This strategic sales role focuses on driving market growth through new business development and account expansion in the molecular diagnostics space.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to drive market share growth across assigned territory
- Engage multiple stakeholders including C-suite to facilitate complex sales decisions
- Develop partnerships and understand customer needs to deliver customized solutions
- Manage long-term capital sales cycles and renewal processes for customer retention
- Collaborate with Enterprise Account Manager on large hospital system opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years relevant sales experience
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel 50-75% in territory
- Proven success in strategic sales and territory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM
- Strong business planning and attention to detail
- Innovation and change management capabilities
Compensation: $78,000–$156,000 base
