BI Engineer

Salary: $83,000 - 123,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with 5+ years of BI development experience, including substantial hands-on work designing and delivering dashboards, visualizations, analyses, and reporting solutions in TIBCO Spotfire.
• We expect experience with Power BI and openness to working across multiple BI and visualization tools as our business needs change.
• We need strong data modeling capability, including star schema design, relationships, and performance tuning at scale.
• We are looking for familiarity with multi-tenant data architecture and row-level security (RLS).
• We expect practical GitHub experience in a team-based deployment workflow.
• We need a proven ability to own deliverables independently.

• We design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, analyses, and reporting solutions in TIBCO Spotfire.
• We own BI delivery end to end, including requirements gathering, data modeling, calculations, and report/dashboard development.
• We shape the design approach and architecture for data models and calculations, creating patterns other developers can follow.
• We oversee version control and deployment through GitHub, including code review and approval of team contributions.
• We partner with data engineers, architects, and product teams to proactively resolve data and quality issues.
• We identify and escalate risks or inefficiencies early.
• We mentor team members and guide their design decisions.
• We define and drive adoption of BI standards and best practices.
• We work independently and use sound judgment on trade-offs without needing sign-off.
