Direct Support Professional (DSP)

At Butterfly Home Care, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, in-home care for individuals with disabilities, aging adults, and families navigating complex needs. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and make a difference every day! Job Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation Support clients in achieving individualized goals outlined in their service plans Accompany clients to community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social events Teach and reinforce independent living skills, communication skills, and community integration Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and required reports Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members Follow agency policies, procedures, and state regulations Qualifications & Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required At least 18 years of age Previous caregiving, DSP, home care, healthcare, or human services experience preferred but not required Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and follow care plans Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to transport clients to community outings, appointments, recreational activities, and other community-based activities Ability to pass criminal background checks and any state-required screenings Authorized to work in the United States CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Why Work with Butterfly Home Care?
