A full-time opportunity is available in a supportive middle school setting, working closely with a dedicated Learning for Life Program. This contract position runs from August 17th through June 4th, offering you the chance to shape the academic journey of a caseload of 15 students who thrive under personalized, compassionate instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting the diverse learning needs of middle school students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with staff, students, and families
• Experience implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and program modifications
• Ability to foster an encouraging, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Willingness to work onsite, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Essential Duties:

• Provide direct, differentiated instruction to students enrolled in the Learning for Life Program
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and behavioral supports to promote student engagement and success
• Track student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and maintain accurate documentation
• Work closely with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support each learner’s academic, social, and emotional growth
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and ongoing program planning
