About the Role:
Join LITTLE STAR CHILD CARE CENTER INC as an Assistant Director in Peabody, MA, where you will play a vital role in nurturing young minds and supporting our dedicated team. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about early childhood education and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of daily operations of the child care center.
- Support the Director in implementing educational programs and activities.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding child development.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management of the center.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a child care setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Passion for fostering a positive learning environment for children.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
