Work Environment

Our Mc David, Florida facility provides a welcoming and fully equipped outpatient therapy office. We cultivate a professional yet friendly atmosphere, fostering effective teamwork among physical therapists and support staff. This role is intended for onsite work, allowing for direct interaction with colleagues and patients, thereby enhancing the treatment experience and outcomes. Our typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, goals, and therapeutic needs.
• Manage a personalized patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring quality, individualized care.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities and techniques.
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy to improve mobility, restore function, and alleviate pain.
• Guide patients through exercise programs tailored to their unique capabilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Consistently monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and modify care plans as necessary.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments in compliance with insurance requirements and organizational standards.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care solutions.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting adherence to prescribed treatment.
• Facilitate educational sessions focused on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices to enhance overall patient wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative patients, those recovering from sports injuries, and individuals experiencing chronic pain. We focus on enhancing patients' functional movement patterns, ensuring they can return to their daily activities and physical pursuits as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Our approach emphasizes non-invasive treatment options and aims to reduce reliance on medication and surgery whenever viable.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from a recognized institution.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• No prior record of disciplinary actions on your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise program design.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work alongside multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Experience working as a physical therapist specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable. Candidates with a background in sports rehabilitation or functional movement-based therapy will particularly stand out. Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and a proactive approach to patient care are essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
