Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite in our dynamic outpatient facility located in the heart of Mc David, Florida. Here, you will benefit from a collaborative environment surrounded by a team of other healthcare professionals, including orthopedic specialists and rehabilitation staff. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and therapeutic tools that enhance the treatment experience for both therapists and patients. The standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent routine and healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify each patient's goals, needs, and any limitations, tailoring a personalized plan of care.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload, typically serving one patient per hour to ensure focused, individualized care.
• Develop and implement effective therapy treatments that address patient needs while enhancing their range of motion and overall mobility.
• Effectively utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions and treatment methodologies.
• Encourage patients to commit to their rehabilitation plans, providing motivation and support throughout the process.
• Engage in ongoing evaluation of patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies and share patient progress updates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your approach will involve a thorough understanding of individual patient histories and active participation in their rehabilitation efforts. You will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their recovery, promoting functional independence and reducing the necessity for invasive treatments or medications.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, free of any board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in evidence-based manual therapy techniques and capable of designing and implementing effective exercise programs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is strongly preferred.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, including athletes, older adults, and individuals with chronic pain.
• Demonstrated capability in therapy program development and execution based on specific client needs.

Compensation and Benefits
