Senior Database Administrator

Imagineeer is seeking a Senior Database Administrator specializing in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL to support ongoing database operations across a federal contract environment. This role is responsible for the health, performance, and security of database environments, including upgrades, patching, and deployment activities critical to system reliability and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Perform database upgrades, version migrations, and patch management for SQL Server and PostgreSQL across development, test, and production environments Plan and execute database deployments, including schema changes, releases, and configuration updates Monitor database performance, tuning queries, indexes, and configurations to optimize efficiency across both platforms Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability Implement and maintain database security controls, access management, and audit logging in line with federal compliance requirements (NIST, FISMA) Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, working closely with infrastructure and application teams Support vulnerability remediation and compliance scanning related to database environments Maintain documentation for database configurations, standard operating procedures, and change records Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support CI/CD integration for database changes Partner with Program Management to support contract deliverables and reporting requirements Qualifications and Skills: 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL Demonstrated experience performing database upgrades, patching, and version migrations across SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL Strong experience with database deployment processes and release management Experience with backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planningi> Self Self Self Self Self Self Self Self Self Self Self Self " Self " Self - Self" Self Self #J-18808-Ljbffr
