We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a team based in New Hyde Park, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping financial information organized. The role requires strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and the ability to handle both payables and receivables with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and organizing supporting documentation.

• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to ensure accounts payable activities are handled on time.

• Prepare customer billing, track incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to support efficient accounts receivable management.

• Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Use QuickBooks to enter, review, and update accounting data while helping ensure the integrity of the general bookkeeping process.

• Assist with routine financial reporting by compiling account information and confirming that records are current and properly balanced.

• Demonstrated experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused setting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks with the ability to manage daily accounting entries accurately.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment coordination.
• Hands-on experience with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Strong bank reconciliation skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks independently while meeting deadlines consistently.
