Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate, relationship-driven Adult Employment Specialist to join our WorkPlace Associates (WPA) team in Butler County.

Through the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, we help adults with mental health, physical, and cognitive disabilities pursue meaningful employment and greater independence.

As an Employment Specialist, you'll work one-on-one with individuals to discover their strengths and career goals, build job skills, overcome barriers, connect with employers, and provide ongoing support after employment. You'll also develop relationships with local businesses and community partners to create employment opportunities that match the interests and abilities of the individuals we serve.

Job Responsibilities

Support Individuals in Reaching Their Employment Goals

• Conduct intake assessments to identify participants' interests, strengths, skills, work history, education, and employment goals
• Provide individualized job development, placement, coaching, and retention services
• Help participants identify and overcome barriers to employment
• Support individuals throughout the employment process, from career exploration through long-term job retention
• Help participants build job-readiness, career, and social skills
• Facilitate job-seeking, career readiness, and social skills groups
• Provide assistance to individuals in community settings as needed

Build Employer & Community Partnerships

• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners
• Identify employment opportunities that align with participants' skills, interests, and goals
• Serve as a liaison between participants, employers, funding sources, and program leadership
• Coordinate services with family members, advocates, treatment providers, schools, and other community supports
• Lead live and virtual vocational training sessions using Microsoft Teams and established curriculum

Collaborate as Part of a Team

• Collaborate with treatment teams and community partners to support participant success
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
• Maintain accurate case records and complete required documentation within established timelines
• Follow agency policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards
• Respond flexibly to changing participant and progr am needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation for community-based services
• Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with individuals, employers, and community partners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
