Position: Patient Services Coordinator (PCC)
Location: Issaquah, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
Position Overview
The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and healthcare teams while ensuring a seamless patient experience throughout the clinic. This role includes front desk operations, patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, referral coordination, and supporting care delivery in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Check in approximately 200–250 patients daily
• Verify insurance coverage and patient demographic information
• Schedule follow-up appointments, procedures, and referrals
• Coordinate patient care activities between providers, patients, and ancillary departments
• Ensure complete and accurate medical records are available for visits and procedures
• Facilitate communication between patients, providers, payers, and healthcare teams
• Support referral management and authorization processes
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare policies and procedures
• Deliver exceptional customer service using AIDET principles
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting OR 2 years of customer service experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically EPIC (required)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience handling confidential information in a professional environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic setting
Preferred Skills
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Insurance verification and authorization experience
• Appointment scheduling and patient registration experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
