Accounting Specialist

Charleston area company seeking qualified Accounting Specialist to join their team, The Accounting Specialist is responsible for financial support such as data entry into company’s ERP system related to customers, vendors, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Works along with the accounting team and CFO on a variety of tasks assigned below. Requirements Minimum associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business with an emphasis in accounting. 3+ years’ experience in a medium-sized manufacturing environment. Must be well organized with superior attention to detail, solid communication skills, both written and verbal, and flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office business software required with ERP-software experience as a plus. Duties Administrative Communication: answering finance phone line; monitoring shared mailbox for accounting Recordkeeping: ensuring financial records are kept up to date Aged Receivables Report: monitoring weekly report; following up on past due accounts; taking actions to obtain payment from customers to secure healthy cash flow Receivables issues: dealing with and resolving customer questions or complaints regarding invoicing to obtain payment from customers; process billing adjustments and refunds Customer statements: creating customer statements and submitting feedback Invoicing: customer invoicing Vendor invoices: checking invoices for payment and processing Aged Payables Report: monitoring weekly report; preventing past due accounts; reviewing payment schedules Payables issues: dealing with and resolving vendor questions and complaints regarding payments; assisting with process-billing adjustments and refunds Vendor statements: reviewing vendor statements and submitting feedback Payment transactions: handling vendor payments in the form of check, online vendor account, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card Reviewing sales representatives’ commission payments monthly and processing payments Bookkeeping: entering financial information into appropriate software programs and ERP system Bank activities: monitoring and recording daily activities of company’s checking account and reconciling account balances Bank deposits: verifying bank deposits Monthly financials: assisting with preparing data for external accounting firm throughout the month Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly financial data: assisting with creating supporting documents for review; correcting errors in conformity with US GAAP in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner Sales and Use Tax (multistate): assisting with gathering/creating supporting documents Other duties as assigned to assist finance department when needed due to change with growing business. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fulcrum Staffing, LLC
