Job Summary

In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain production machinery (including rotary and surface grinders) while ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. This is a high-demand, temp-to-perm position offering competitive pay, steady hours, and opportunities for skill development.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: Sunday – Friday | 11:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Set-Up & Operation: Perform process machine setups and grinding wheel changes within standard setup target times.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct product inspections, track quality/production metrics, calibrate tooling, and execute daily walk-around checks.

• Maintenance & Cleanliness: Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) duties, maintain 6S workplace housekeeping standards, and perform clean-up shift procedures.

• Production Tracking: Maintain visual control boards, update hour-by-hour operational charts, and track equipment utilization.

• Peer Leadership & Training: Assist with inspecting parts produced by non-certified operators and support training for new Machine Trainees.

• Safety & Compliance: Actively participate in Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and continuously work toward certified operator status.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in machine setup, manufacturing, or mechanical equipment operation (rotary/surface grinding experience is a plus).

• Technical Skills: Ability to use precision measuring tools, interpret production schedules, and follow written setup instructions.

• Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual motions, and lift up to 35–50 lbs as required by production needs.

• Reliability: Excellent attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to team safety and continuous improvement.

Pay Details: $27.91 per hour
