Job Description Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise Splunk environments for a senior cybersecurity program. Core Responsibilities Architect, implement and maintain Splunk environments: design, implement, and maintain enterprise Splunk infrastructures. Manage Splunk clusters, indexers, search heads, forwarders, and data ingestion pipelines. Ensure performance, scalability, and high‑availability. Security engineering and compliance: ensure Splunk configuration and log handling comply with organizational standards, industry regulations, DoD security requirements, and role‑based access control (RBAC). Implement advanced Splunk security controls and hardening best practices. Monitoring and troubleshooting: continuously monitor the health of the Splunk environment. Identify and resolve performance issues, indexing backlogs, search performance bottlenecks, and system availability risks. Senior leadership: serve as the senior cybersecurity/Splunk authority for the program. Mentor teams, guide Splunk best practices, and support engineering escalations. Experience supporting DoD or other cleared federal environments. Background integrating Splunk with cloud platforms, security automation, and external intelligence feeds. 10+ years minimum, ideally 15‑20+ years of cybersecurity/Splunk engineering experience. IAT III certification (DoD 8570). Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Seal Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits Salary range: $185,000 - $230,000 per year.
