Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient

Registered Nurse – Perioperative

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Days: M - F (rotating day off depending on schedule) Start time: Between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM (varies slightly based on case volume)

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40.00

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• At least two years of recent nursing experience
• Endoscopy experience required
• Experience in outpatient surgery and perioperative care strongly preferred
• Familiarity with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows
• Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients based on established standards of care and nursing process.
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
• Conduct assessments, analyze data, and determine diagnosis and care issues for patients.
• Implement nursing care plans, coordinating care delivery, and applying strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment.
• Evaluate progress toward achieving patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and supportive environment.
• Provide educational resources and guidance to patients, families, and treatment team members.
