The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. If you are a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and highly organized, this may be the role for you!Major responsibilities- Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database- Oversee tax preparation work that is outsourced- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits- Put together accurate quarterly and annual tax reports- Provide management with information regarding the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws- Create tax solutions to incorrect tax fillings or complicated tax issues- Maintain good industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
