Registered Nurse – Med/Surg–Telemetry

Shift: Nights, 4x12 (1900–0700). Requires every other weekend.

Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:7. High-volume unit with a total of 26 beds.

Minimum 1 year RN Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.

EPIC charting experience required.

New travelers accepted; local candidates not accepted (must reside >75 miles from facility).

Required certifications: BLS; valid NIHSS score required at submission; ACLS preferred.

Key clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation/management, post-device/pacemaker care, cardiac monitoring, wound care/Wound VAC, peripheral line care, oxygen/non-invasive airway management, blood product administration, participation in rapid response/code teams.

Provide direct patient care in a med/surg–telemetry unit.

Monitor and manage patients' vital signs and medical equipment.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Participate in rapid response and code team interventions.

NY RN license in hand required. Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off cannot be submitted. Background checks are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The COVID-19 vaccine is not required; the flu vaccine status is unknown.
