Warehouse SupervisorJELD-WEN is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team. Hiring Now – Immediate need for new Manufacturing Team Member American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the nation's largest suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist our Distribution Divisions in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain high quality standardsInspect incoming loadsMaintain facility housekeeping standardsUse a forklift to load trucksAttention to detail on all paperwork and documentationConsistently adhere to safe work practicesDetermine disposition of returned products from previous day's deliveries. Record returns in return product recap reportSchedule the daily duties of the shipping crew including the coordination of loading, associated paperwork and routing of products for daily deliveriesVerify order paperwork to piece counts of daily loads and perform quality control checks of product before loadingTranspose daily piece counts into productivity report databaseResearch missing product to determine its whereabouts and/or work with Production Manager to determine if production was completedVerify that loads are complete and properly loaded for next day's deliveryServe as liaison between the warehouse and the sales department to troubleshoot missing product and/or the status of product scheduled for deliveryServe as liaison between the warehouse and the accounting department to verify disposition of outstanding invoices and billing discrepanciesPrepare warehouse for and conduct weekly inventory cycle countsTrain new staff and existing staff as requiredEvaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as requiredOther duties as assignedOther Important Qualifications:Positive outgoing attitudeStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, goal orientedAbility to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentAbility to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphereLean Manufacturing knowledgeMinimum Qualifications:Ability to read and write English.3-5 years warehouse experience preferably in a supervisory capacity.Strong communication skills both verbal and written.Strong organizational skills.Must be able to lift at least 50 poundsExperience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite of ProductsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.What We Offer:As well as a safe, challenging & fast paced working environment Competitive Benefits, including Paid Time Off, Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k and Tuition Reimbursement Opportunities to cross-train, enhance your skillset and advance your careerExpected pay for this role is between $66,800 to $111,400 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.JELD-WEN is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation based on individuals' physical traits, beliefs, and/or other characteristics that are protected under applicable laws.
