Accounting Manager/ General Manager - Commercial RE/Property Mgt

Job Description Job Description Are you experienced as an Accounting Manager or Controller, looking for an opportunity to work for a real estate owner/manager? Locally based commercial real estate ownership is seeking a professional Controller/Accounting Manager that would be directly responsible for full cycle accounting for commercial properties, and corporate accounting. Responsibilities will include: Managing Property Managers and providing support as needed Reviewing A/P and A/R for proper codes Reviewing lease terms and information input Reconciling accounts Preparing month and year end Conducting account audits Managing vendor relations and contracts Communicating with tenants and providing tenant customer service Following up on rent payments as needed Processing 1099's Paying property taxes online Communicating with external CPA Working with Property Managers to determine property budgets Preparing CAM's Processing distributions Generating financial reports Analyzing financials and reviewing with owners Providing leadership and guidance on property performance Special Skills: Strong people and communication skills Ability to work under deadlines Detailed and well organized Must Have: 5+ years of Accounting Management experience in commercial property management Advanced Excel AppFolio or related software experience BS or BA or above in accounting or finance field Company Description TORP Group is a recruitment firm that specializes in placing in: Property and Real Estate Management, Administrative Support, Accounting, Construction Project Management, and Project Coordination.
