As an LCSW at Impregnable Will Counseling Center, you will operate from a remote setting, utilizing a variety of digital tools to connect with patients and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary health care team. The role is grounded in a school environment which allows you to work closely with educators, school staff, and families to address students' mental health needs while leveraging technology to maintain seamless communication and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges arising from their diagnosis and life situations.

• Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans utilizing appropriate social work methodologies, ensuring active involvement and feedback from patients and their families.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, psychologists, and medical professionals, to establish cohesive care strategies that promote positive mental health outcomes.

• Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up care, which may involve coordinating with consulting physicians and third-party payers to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate resource allocations.

• Provide education, counseling, and therapeutic support to patients and families addressing adaptation challenges related to illness and overall life circumstances.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including crisis intervention, individual, group, and family therapies, tailored to the specific needs of the patients.

• Serve as a resource and mentor to other staff members and health professionals, providing training and guidance on psychosocial issues specific to oncology.

• Conduct clinically valid evaluations of oncology patients for symptoms of depression and anxiety, offering short-term counseling as needed.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support and interventions as necessary.

• Deliver presentations at educational conferences to promote psychosocial oncology practices and contribute to community education initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on students within the educational system who may be facing various social, emotional, and psychological challenges. You will provide direct support to cancer survivors and their families, helping them manage the psychosocial aspects of living with illness. Additionally, you will engage with diverse populations, using culturally competent practices to ensure that care is personalized and responsive to each client’s circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) and a current license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
