Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Network Security Infrastructure

Support firewall lifecycle management, including installing, configuring, decommissioning devices, and migrating application traffic behind firewalls Support GlobalProtect VPN efforts, including deploying new portals/gateways and troubleshooting machine certificate chain/authentication flows Mitigate network security vulnerabilities and upgrade firewall software using automated solutions Respond to and **escalate** incidents while supporting customers Use Solarwinds, Looker, and Tableau for troubleshooting and project implementation Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible and Python Design automation workflows and capabilities for data collection, investigation, and incident response Develop threat hunting and data analysis strategies and capabilities Identify and propose technologies, methodologies, and approaches to detecting malicious activity Use indicators to scope and proactively respond to emerging threats Design, build, configure, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management Participate in onsite testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities during project rollouts Requirements Candidates must be located within driving distance to the Marietta Technology Center (MTC) to support business needs Minimum 3+ years of experience in network and security engineering or operations Solid understanding of switching and routing Cisco Certification is a plus Solid understanding of Cyber Security Palo Alto Certification is a plus Solid understanding of VPN technology Hands on GlobalProtect VPN solution is a plus Hands on experience with Linux operating systems Hands on experience with programming language such as Ansible or Python Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is preferred Must be eighteen years of age or older Must be legally permitted to work in the United States Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in network and security engineering, with a strong focus on firewall management, VPN technologies, and automation solutions using Ansible and Python.
