Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
• Care for a diverse patient population including pediatric patients as young as 1 year old
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions from the OR to the PACU
• Adhere to unit-specific dress code requirements (Ceil Blue scrubs)
• Participate in unit/department-specific orientation upon hire

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification (required due to pediatric patient care responsibilities)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for pediatric surgical patients in a post-anesthesia setting
• Familiarity with PACU-specific protocols and standards of care
