Senior Accountant II

Our client is hiring for a Senior Accountant – AR/Revenue in Atlanta, GA. This is with a growing organization with a complex supply chain operation, is looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional to own revenue and accounts receivable processes for its supply chain and related business units. This role manages the monthly close, billing, and reconciliation cycle while ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and internal controls remain strong. The Senior Accountant will partner closely with supply chain, finance, and collections teams to resolve discrepancies, tighten processes, and keep financial reporting accurate. It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys ownership over a high-volume, cross-functional accounting function and wants to help shape process improvements along the way. Responsibilities: Oversee the monthly close process for supply chain, including preparing accrual files, recording journal entries, and completing reconciliations against partner reports, suppliers, and distributors Manage monthly and quarterly billing for assigned customers and partners, and complete accounts receivable activities ahead of AR close Lead monthly P&L review meetings, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve unreconciled items and revenue leakage issues in a timely manner Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and documentation, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives across billing, collections, and reporting Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; master's degree or relevant professional certification preferred 6+ years of experience in revenue accounting, financial operations, supply chain finance, or billing Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)CPA or CPA-track preferred, with strong understanding of ASC 606, reconciliations, and internal controls If this position is not a perfect fit, please do not hesitate to pass this posting along to anyone else you know that may be interested.
