This role ensures students are seated appropriately, follows safety protocols, and provides support for students with special needs when required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work effectively with children of all ages, including those with special needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must pass BCI/FBI background checks Ability to complete required training as directed by the district Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist students in boarding, seating, and exiting the bus safely Secure seat belts, harnesses, or other safety equipment as needed Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus Provide support to students with disabilities or medical needs as assigned Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding student needs and concerns Follow district policies and state laws related to transportation and student safety Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor Working Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions Frequent sitting, standing, bending, and moderate lifting when assisting students Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis #J-18808-Ljbffr Cambridge City School District
