Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Hurricane, WV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 5x8 Days M-F, 06:50 AM - 03:20 PM, with minimum of 1-2 call shifts per week and one weekend of call per month.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of Operating Room experience. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operating room.
Collaborate with surgical teams, ensuring excellent intraoperative patient management.
Assist in the implementation of surgical procedures and protocols.
Maintain patient safety by adhering to established standards and procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report significant changes to the surgical team.
Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff before and after surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current RN license valid in West Virginia or compact state.
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in the operating room.
ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Orthopedic experience is a must.
