Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Hurricane, WV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 5x8 Days M-F, 06:50 AM - 03:20 PM, with minimum of 1-2 call shifts per week and one weekend of call per month.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of Operating Room experience. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, ensuring excellent intraoperative patient management.
• Assist in the implementation of surgical procedures and protocols.
• Maintain patient safety by adhering to established standards and procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report significant changes to the surgical team.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff before and after surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license valid in West Virginia or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in the operating room.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Orthopedic experience is a must.
