Edison Smart is partnering with an AI-native cybersecurity company to hire an Account Executive focused on winning new business across the US.

Our client combines autonomous threat detection, investigation and response with 24/7 security operations expertise, helping organisations protect their cloud, network and endpoint environments.

This opportunity suits a proven sales hunter who can build pipeline, engage senior decision-makers and close complex cybersecurity deals.

The role

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will own the full sales cycle, selling security operations solutions and strategic advisory services into organisations with 500+ employees. Target sectors include healthcare, state and local government, education and other regulated industries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identify, develop and close new business across your assigned territory.
• Own prospecting, discovery, qualification, proposals, negotiation and closing.
• Engage CIOs, IT directors and executive stakeholders to understand security challenges and build compelling business cases.
• Work with channel partners, marketing and lead generation teams to develop a qualified pipeline.
• Deliver tailored presentations and coordinate product demonstrations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts while meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

What we’re looking for

• Proven success in full-cycle technology sales, ideally within cybersecurity, SaaS or managed services.
• A demonstrable track record of closing six-figure deals and achieving sales targets.
• Experience selling MDR, managed SOC, SIEM, XDR, AI-driven SecOps or related cybersecurity solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience selling into organisations with 500+ employees and engaging CIOs, IT directors and C-level stakeholders.
• Strong prospecting skills and a proactive approach to generating new business.
• Experience working with channel partners.
• Confidence managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with MEDDIC or MEDDPICC is highly desirable.
