Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Telehealth 100% Remote | Independent Contractor | Flexible Schedule

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a growing behavioral health team as an independent contractor (1099) . This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for a PMHNP seeking a flexible supplemental role or a primary telehealth practice.

The provider will deliver comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to adult patients through a secure telehealth platform, including behavioral health evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care.

• Role: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

• Employment: 1099 Independent Contractor

• Setting: 100% Remote / Telehealth

• Schedule: Flexible; no fixed shifts

• Patient Population: Adult men and women, approximately 35-70 years old

• Expected Start: By October 1, 2026

• Call Requirements: No on-call requirements

• Weekend/Night Requirements: None

• Visit-Based Model: Providers determine their availability and schedule based on patient visits

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations and psychiatric consultations.

• Provide psychiatric medication management.

• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.

• Provide ongoing psychiatric and behavioral health care through telehealth.

• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.

• Provide patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral health services.

• Support men's and women's behavioral health and integrative wellness needs.

• Active PMHNP license in Florida or eligibility through a compact license.

• Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority .

• 1-2+ years of post-certification PMHNP experience preferred , particularly due to insurance credentialing requirements.

• Prior telehealth experience preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

• Comfortable providing independent psychiatric care through telehealth.

• Interest in behavioral health and integrative wellness.

Strong preference for candidates who are already credentialed/paneled with major commercial insurers, particularly:

• Aetna

• Cigna

• Optum / UnitedHealthcare (UBH)

• Oscar Health

• 100% remote
