Position: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Location: Seattle, WA

We are seeking a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) to join our team in a temporary-to-hire role. This is an excellent opportunity for local and non-local candidates looking to advance their careers in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule

Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Off Weekends: Yes

Responsibilities

Perform vital signs assessments including hearing screenings, height/weight measurements, 12 lead EKG/ECG, and pulse oximetry.
Prepare for exams by recording patient history, medications, and allergies.
Conduct office duties such as insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and telephone triage.
Review lab tests and assist with procedure scheduling.

Qualifications

Certification: Valid Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year working as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting is required.
Preferred: Procedure scheduling experience. If not available, outpatient cardiology experience is required.
Skills: Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EPIC), performing vital signs, scheduling appointments, and conducting telephone triage.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Additional Information

This role is located at a Heart & Vascular Clinic. The clinic intends to extend a permanent offer at the end of the contract period if performance is satisfactory.

Note: Candidates should be prepared to work in-person at the clinic. No weekend or on-call duties are required, and there will be no floating between locations.
