Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented SolidWorks CAD Drafter for a direct hire opportunity in Chino, CA. This role is ideal for a mechanical drafting professional with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys creating accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, schematics, and technical documentation for metal fabrication and mechanical product design.

This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement are valued. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to support projects from concept through detailed documentation. The role provides exposure to practical manufacturing applications, supportive leadership, steady full-time work, and opportunities to continue building technical CAD and drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 2D drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and related CAD tools.
- Create accurate 3D models for mechanical components, product designs, system layouts, and fabrication support.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to translate sketches, specifications, and design concepts into complete CAD documentation.
- Review CAD models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, manufacturability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain organized CAD files, version control, and documentation standards to support engineering and production workflows.
- Assist with assembly modeling, design visualization, and technical reports for internal reviews or client presentations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Overtime: Available.
- Benefits: Healthcare insurance, optional dental insurance, vacation/PTO, and 401K.
