Ritsema Law is a multi-state workers' compensation insurance defense law firm representing clients in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona.  We are seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our growing team.  This position is essential and on-site in our Denver office Monday–Friday (with some flexibility in scheduled hours).  We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a casual work environment!  This is an immediate opening for the right person.

The Accounting Clerk will support both our Accounting and Billing teams and handle a wide range of accounting functions with a focus on A/R and collections.  The Accounting Clerk will report directly to the Director of Administration.

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Receivable

• Prepares daily manual deposits
• Assists with Accounts Receivable aging
• Applying customer payments
• Researches and solves payment discrepancies
• Makes adjustments to accounts as needed
• Assist with collections
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required

Accounts Payable

• Cross-train and provide coverage for Accounts Payable
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Enter invoices in accordance with Firm Policies
• Process biweekly check runs in accordance with Firm Policies
• Assist in the maintenance of accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
• Answers all vendor inquiries
• Distribute signed checks as required

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate
• Candidate for this position must have at least 2-3 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk, Accounts Payable or similar role
• Law firm experience preferred but not required

Benefits:

• Salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000/year depending on experience
• 39 hour work week
