Industrial Engineer

Primaire Consulting is partnering with an established food manufacturer to appoint an Industrial Engineer to drive performance, standardization and loss elimination across a busy production site.This is a key role on the site. You'll own the industrial performance program and help stabilize and standardize operations, reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering. You'll split your time between hands-on floor work and structured data analysis, then turn what you find into standards and improvements that last.Do you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.What you'll be doingMapping current state workflows using process maps, swim lanes and structured observationBuilding the site's industrial performance program with Engineering, covering asset utilization, bottleneck analysis, theoretical run rates, planning rates and line speedDeveloping labor standards through time and motion studies and throughput analysisStandardizing critical process parameters through standard work, center lining (CL) and CIL routinesRolling out SPC and running capability studies to validate process performanceBuilding daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for OperationsUsing OEE systems to identify bottlenecks, losses and labor performance, and owning OEE data integrityLeading CI projects across safety, waste, quality, asset reliability and yieldRunning regular Gemba walks and getting to the root cause of process variationWhat you'll bringDegree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field5–8 years' progressive experience leading CI, Lean or Six Sigma, or deploying industrial performance programsExperience xhyhwjd building operational standards, standard work and routinesA track record of driving change across processes, people and teamsStrong communication and stakeholder skills, plus the confidence to influence decisionsComfort with ambiguity and the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesNice to haveExperience in food manufacturing or another regulated industryHands-on experience with TPM, IWS, Lean or Six Sigma systemsWorking knowledge of DMAIC, SPC and time and motion studies
