Collections Specialist Job ID: 1772 Location: New York, NY — EF Job Information Department: Eastern Funding Reports to: Customer Svc & Collections Mgr Status: Non-Exempt Grade: 6 Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.90 Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Purpose/Objective The position is responsible for assisting the with all Eastern Funding LLC delinquent customer accounts. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and clear check and automatic debit bounces. Notify loan officers and management team of action steps taken by collections representative. Be proficient in the Company's accounting software system. Answer all customers billing related inquiries. Make ACH data and bank changes as required. Create check spreadsheet for all incoming checks received by Customer Service. Maintain the Eastern Funding used equipment list. Maintain the repossession & returns list for all Specialty Vehicles. Assist on repossession of equipment which requires visitation to the location for physical removal of assets. Make suggestions to management with respect to loan workout. Assist in house attorney in preparing default letter and in other legal matters. Know and understand the company's BSA/AML compliance policies, and participate in the company's ongoing compliance training. Do other assignments as directed by CM. Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required) Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 - 4 years of collections experience. Strong verbal communications. Ability to multitask and problem solve. Ability to work independent and understand the need for timely response and proactive measures. Ability to work cooperatively with team and other department colleagues. Working knowledge of computer software Word, Excel and TValue.
