Job Details Job Location: CA 29010 Commerce Office - Valencia, CA 91355 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 Salary/year Job Shift: Day Summary Job Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle of the company. This role ensures financial integrity, detailed operational accounting, accurate revenue recognition, cost control, and strong oversight of internal controls across the entity. This position reports to the Controller, and it partners closely with each department and executive leadership to ensure that growth is supported by disciplined financial management and strong unit economics. Key Responsibilities Drive month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. Prepare ad hoc management reports as required. Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations. Track operational KPIs. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Support profitability analysis by customer, channel, or warehouse location. Full lifecycle knowledge in Fixed Asset Management Compliance & Audit Support Assist with external audits and tax filings. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails. Ensure compliance with company controls and accounting procedures. Assist in ensuring compliance with state and local taxes for relevant jurisdictions. Controls, Systems & Process Improvement Strengthen internal accounting controls and audit readiness. Oversee reconciliations between internal systems and QuickBooks Online. Improve financial processes and reporting automation. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Key Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Minimum5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level responsibilities. Experience in logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, or distribution preferred. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, margin analysis, pivot tables, advanced formulas). Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Advanced English proficiency. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
