Production Shift Supervisor

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead daily production and packaging operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on leader who is passionate about developing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering high‑quality products safely and efficiently. In this role, you will oversee production activities, manage and coach employees, monitor productivity and performance metrics, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Salary: $72,000 - $75,000 per year. Shift: Second. Work Hours: 3 PM – 11 PM. Education: High School. Responsibilities Lead daily production and packaging operations across multiple manufacturing lines. Execute production schedules while meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals. Monitor line performance, labor utilization, equipment efficiency, and downtime. Manage line startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and troubleshooting activities. Supervise, coach, and develop production employees, team leads, and operators. Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities and safety expectations. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP requirements, and sanitation programs. Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to support operational goals. Maintain accurate production records, reporting, and inventory transactions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and operational excellence. 3+ years of manufacturing experience in food, beverage, CPG, or a related production environment. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, and manufacturing best practices. Leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
