Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our hospital facility, providing comprehensive care to both outpatient and inpatient populations. Day-to-day interactions will include collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and other health professionals within our award-winning integrated healthcare system. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive medical histories to assess patient conditions effectively.

• Order, collect, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to address various health concerns, ensuring informed decision-making in treatment approaches.

• Prescribe medical therapies and interventions in accordance with established protocols, focusing on efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness while educating patients on the potential side effects and interactions of medications.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, utilizing evidence-based medicine and professional practice guidelines to drive patient outcomes.

• Provide patient and family education regarding management of health conditions, lifestyle modifications, and nutritional advice, ensuring holistic care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and outcomes, while ensuring timely referrals for conditions outside of the PA's expertise.

• Administer consultation-level services for cardiology-related conditions and manage patient care across various healthcare settings, including inpatient units and emergency services.

• Perform designated invasive procedures that fall within the scope of practice as determined by supervising physicians, enhancing patient care paths.

• Flexibility to accommodate additional patient care duties outside of regular hours, as department coverage needs arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant in our Cardiology Clinic, you will directly impact our diverse patient population, which includes individuals dealing with a range of cardiovascular issues, from routine heart health assessments to complex diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases. Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting is required.

• Must hold a valid PA license and applicable certifications for Florida.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficient computer skills for documentation and patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology or related specialty is highly regarded.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and computerized documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000, depending on experience.
