Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing their medical history and performing specific assessments to develop and document individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process to promote collaborative care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that consider patients' unique presentations and continuously adapt them as needed based on their progress.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding integrated care, documenting any changes in patients' conditions and modifying treatment plans accordingly.
• Ensure accurate discharge planning and follow-up care while maintaining comprehensive and timely documentation of all patient interactions, including evaluations, daily notes, and progress summaries.
• Allocate time effectively to meet productivity expectations, maintaining an organized schedule and attending meetings punctually.
• Contribute to department goals and objectives while complying with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Initiate and partake in ongoing professional development activities, including serving as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students.
• Enhance the patient experience by promoting flexibility and adaptability in care, breaking down access barriers, and engaging in community initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, athletic injuries, or age-related musculoskeletal conditions. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of these patients, guiding them through the rehabilitation process to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Valid CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with a background in outpatient orthopedic settings and knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques and modalities will be especially advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record systems may also be preferred to enhance documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
