Work Environment

This position is based in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. The facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients, equipped with modern therapy tools, equipment, and a supportive staff that emphasizes teamwork. The clinic's hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that our employees appreciate.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and establish baseline metrics for treatment plans.
• Develop and implement customized rehabilitation programs utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches and hands-on therapy techniques.
• Guide patients through targeted exercises, therapeutic modalities, and manual therapy to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Educate patients on injury prevention strategies and the importance of adhering to their treatment plans, facilitating better recovery and outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery paths.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, orthopedic specialists, and nursing staff for coordinated patient care.
• Engage in mentorship opportunities for less experienced staff and contribute to team training initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with orthopedic patients recovering from injuries or surgeries related to musculoskeletal conditions. These include sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will empathetically address the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, ensuring that each patient receives individualized care aimed at their specific goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active or eligible Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
