Key Responsibilities

Your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Developing individualized physical therapy treatment plans to address patients' specific orthopedic conditions, such as post-operative recovery, muscle injuries, and chronic pain syndromes.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tests to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents (such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation) to relieve pain and improve function.
• Collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure that care plans are appropriately implemented and adjusting treatment approaches based on patient progress.
• Educating patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and the use of equipment, fostering independence and compliance in rehabilitation.
• Documenting patient progress accurately in clinical records, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations as well as clinic policies.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient treatment plans and progress, ensuring comprehensive care is maintained.
• Promoting health and wellness initiatives within the community by participating in educational seminars and outreach programs.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing in Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
