Position Overview

Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a full-time member of our outpatient office, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function, ensuring adherence to the prescribed care plan.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities using diagnostics related to muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper execution of treatment plans, providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as traction and massage to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Assess home environments and provide recommendations to improve the independence and quality of life for patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress, communicating any changes in conditions to physicians and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment progress and set objectives for patient care.
• Instruct patients and families on therapeutic techniques and the use of devices to ensure consistency and effectiveness outside of therapy sessions.
• Engage in professional development activities and stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Tailoring therapeutic approaches to accommodate varying age groups and individual health needs, your expertise will be critical in guiding patients through their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, focusing on orthopedics or closely related fields.
• Current certification in CPR and basic life support.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to patient outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced training in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities.
• Experience working in an outpatient setting with a diverse patient population.
• Leadership or supervisory experience with Physical Therapy Assistants is advantageous.
