Work Environment

This role requires an onsite presence as you will be providing home care services directly within the homes of our patients. Our physical therapists work in diverse environments, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual. With an average of 40 scheduled hours per week, this position may also include variable weekend work. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Jackson Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
• Providing consultations to healthcare providers regarding the patient's continuum of care, ensuring comprehensive coordination of services.
• Engaging with patients in a culturally sensitive and compassionate manner, adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
• Documenting patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans accurately in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Leading community outreach initiatives and participating in quality improvement and marketing projects.

• Coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be providing care to patients experiencing orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and sports-related injuries. You will develop a strong rapport with patients, understanding their goals and concerns, and collaborating closely with them and their families throughout the treatment process to ensure a holistic approach to recovery.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is essential, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Active State License in Physical Therapy mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and familiarity with home health settings. Experience with specialized modalities and rehabilitation techniques will be viewed favorably.
