Work Environment

The position is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, where you'll conduct patient visits at their homes. Our conducive work environment supports both patient comfort and therapist effectiveness, allowing you to assess and implement therapy strategies that address each individual's unique needs. In our small but dedicated team, which includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), collaboration and ongoing education are valued to ensure our team stays at the forefront of rehabilitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to establish effective treatment goals tailored to each individual's needs.
• Manage a case load of one patient per hour, allowing you to focus on high-quality, personalized care.
• Design and implement individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop exercise protocols that are specifically geared towards improving each patient's range of motion and functional capabilities.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehab journey, instilling confidence and promoting active participation in their treatment plans.
• Follow up on patients' journeys, regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatments and modifying them as necessary to ensure ongoing progress.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to track patient outcomes efficiently.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of patients primarily focused on orthopedic conditions. This includes recovering post-surgery patients, those with chronic pain syndromes, as well as individuals seeking to improve their physical function due to injury or mobility limitations. Your expertise will not only help patients recover but will also help them prevent future injuries through education and wellness strategies.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, with a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Hold a valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida, maintaining an unblemished professional record with no disciplinary actions.
• Exhibit a high level of proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive exercise protocols.
• Sufficient experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing your ability to deliver effective, individualized care.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to efficiently document patient interactions and outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in physical therapy, specifically within orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience in providing home care therapy services is an asset, as it requires adaptability and an understanding of patient-centric treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range between USD 90,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
