Work Environment

This role is based onsite in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Working primarily in patients' homes, you will engage with individuals in their own environments, allowing for tailored treatment approaches. Key Responsibilities

• You will conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations or disabilities, synthesizing information to create effective treatment plans.
• As a key player in the healthcare team, you will provide consultations to fellow healthcare providers about your patients' progress and the continuum of care necessary for their recovery.
• You will be required to interact respectfully and compassionately with patients from diverse backgrounds, adhering to our high standards of customer service.
• Your role will involve continual assessment of patient outcomes through evaluation and interpretation of diagnostic results, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to meet the changing needs of your patients.
• You will implement, monitor, and modify treatment plans, ensuring that they comply with all legal, regulatory, and professional documentation standards.
• Maintain effective communication through verbal, written, and electronic channels with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referring physicians, and patients' families to coordinate care efforts effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients include individuals with a variety of orthopedic conditions, as well as those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or strokes. In your role, you will provide critical therapy for those dealing with post-operative recovery, chronic pain, sports injuries, and mobility impairments. The focus will be on personalized, evidence-based treatment that emphasizes functional improvement and patient autonomy.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Active state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) recognized by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, demonstrated through hands-on practice in physical therapy settings.
• A current CPR certification to ensure the safety and security of all patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home healthcare or a similar setting is preferred
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and current rehabilitation technology will be a competitive edge.
