Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, focusing on home care where you will conduct visits to patients' residences. Working in the home care environment allows you to develop strong connections with your patients, facilitating a more personalized approach to therapy. With a manageable caseload of one patient per hour, you will have the time and focus to provide detailed attention and support to your clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' physical therapy needs and establish personalized treatment goals.
• Implement a variety of treatment interventions aimed at restoring mobility and reducing pain.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
• Educate patients and their families regarding best practices for recovery, lifestyle management, and injury prevention.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Utilize EMR software, specifically WebPT, to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to empower them to achieve their health objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve treating adults and elderly patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility. You will engage with clients who may require long-term rehabilitation or short-term intervention, aiming to enhance their independence and functionality in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, though a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapist license in the state of Florida.
• An impeccable professional record devoid of disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and effective communication with patients.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to individual needs.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, especially WebPT, for patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Previous home care experience is a significant advantage.
• Strong background in rehabilitative practices, with a focus on pain management and strengthening.

Compensation and Benefits
