Work Environment

This position is full-time and operates onsite, focusing on home care therapy sessions. You will have a manageable patient caseload, allowing you to fully engage with each patient, addressing their unique challenges and recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions to design customized care plans that cater to their goals and needs.
• Deliver effective therapeutic interventions, including education on exercises, manual therapy techniques, and pain management strategies.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and personalized attention during each session.
• Implement various treatment modalities that enhance patients' range of motion, mobility, and overall physical fitness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, discussing treatment progress and outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Document all therapy services provided meticulously to maintain accurate patient records.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging exercises that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications that support recovery.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify strategies based on patient feedback and observable outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that affect their physical mobility. Our patient population is diverse, including elderly individuals needing support after joint replacements, athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, and individuals with post-operative rehabilitation needs. Your personalized care approach will be crucial in enabling them to achieve their physical therapy goals safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively motivate and educate patients.
• Proficiency in developing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, for documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient clinic or home health environment is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques and exercise therapies.
• A strong commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits
