Wellness Wise Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient rehabilitation facility located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in implementing specialized treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility, enhance their functional performance, and significantly contribute to their overall quality of life.

Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will work onsite within our well-equipped rehabilitation facility, designed specifically to support outpatient therapy. The environment is collaborative, encouraging open communication among a multidisciplinary team, consisting of other healthcare professionals. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet flexible work schedule to enhance work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that cater to their unique health goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises to restore mobility and functionality, emphasizing cost-effective and non-surgical interventions.
• Establish and implement comprehensive care plans incorporating manual therapy modalities, therapeutic exercises, and patient education about their conditions.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, allowing for extensive interaction and follow-ups with each patient to track treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as necessary.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting healthier lifestyle choices that support their recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care that maximizes outcomes.
• Document patient progress and treatment provided meticulously using EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population at our outpatient clinic, helping individuals of all ages who are recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will partner closely with patients to ensure that all rehabilitative goals are realistically set and thoroughly supported through individualized therapy programs.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Possession of a valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional skills in various manual therapy techniques and a proven track record of success in designing and executing effective exercise programs.
• Competency in utilizing EMR software to ensure accurate patient documentation.
• Strong understanding of current physical therapy research and evidence-based practices to offer the best possible care to patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Advanced training or certifications in manual therapy or sports rehabilitation can significantly enhance patient care experiences.
• Familiarity with injury prevention programs and community outreach initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
