This role includes chemical analysis, tank maintenance, filtration monitoring, and adherence to safety and environmental standards to support efficient production operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain plating tanks, weirs, solution levels, air agitation, and filtration systemsPerform chemical additions and maintain proper formulation of plating solutionsConduct temperature checks and pH testing according to established proceduresMonitor, clean, and replace filtration and regeneration systems per maintenance schedulesOversee recovery systems and perform cleaning or maintenance as requiredInterpret and follow written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructionsMaintain a clean and safe work area around chemical storage, filtration, regeneration, and recovery equipmentFollow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Complete required daily checklists and documentationAssist other plating technicians as neededPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Competencies, Skills & ExperienceAbility to work overtime, sometimes on short noticeStrong ability to read and fill in checklists, correspondence, and procedure documentationCommitment to following all safety regulations and PPE requirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsExcellent attendance and reliabilityAbility to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environmentPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of hazardous material handling and chemical solution maintenanceBasic understanding of chemistry principlesExperience with plating on plastics or metals preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWork Environment & Physical DemandsWork in an industrial plating environment with exposure to chemicals and mechanical equipmentStand and move throughout the shiftLift and move materials weighing up to 50 poundsWork around chemical tanks, filtration systems, and recovery equipment while following safety protocolsEqual Opportunity EmployerMPC Plating is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
