Accounting Associate

We're seeking an Accounting Associate in Dallas, TX to manage financial transactions and support project compliance for a growing mechanical construction team.

Impact
- Ensures financial accuracy by processing customer and vendor transactions correctly.
- Maintains company cash flow through diligent collections and accounts receivable monitoring.
- Protects the business by managing lien releases and contractor licensing renewals.
- Supports project efficiency by collaborating with project managers on accurate billings and budgets.

Responsibilities
- Assign project numbers and set up new customers in the accounting software.
- Process electronic deposits and ensure daily coding matches the general ledger.
- Collaborate with project managers to complete progress and time-and-material billings.
- Collect and track lien releases and waivers for subcontractors and vendors.
- Upload project budgets and create schedules of value in the system.
- Investigate delinquent accounts and contact customers to collect overdue payments.
- Process vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications while resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare bi-weekly check payments and manage corporate credit card transactions.
- Assist with year-end reporting and the distribution of 1099 forms.
